      <image:caption>It was now that Vernon had begun developing a name for himself. He was asked to join The Herd, but turned  that down (the position was subsequently filled by Peter Frampton). He instead joined Shades of Midnight, a nationally known R&amp;B band whose gigs included the David Frost Show. During this time he played with a variety of blues and jazz bands as a relief musician with the British Musicians Union.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Born and raised in North London, Vernon Northover has lived a breathed the British music scene of the 1960s. Vernon started his musical journey playing violin in school, but really came on the scene when he formed and R&amp;B band in North London, England, called Syze Nine. After several mentions on the radio. extensive touring of southeast England, and adopting formal management in 1967, Syze Nine developed a large following started appearing with major acts in England such as the Riot Squad.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>In 1978 Vernon crossed the pond, moving to the USA. Here he played with various blues musicians including Big Daddy, Lotsa Poppa, and Mr. Jellybelly. In 1991 Vernon cofounded The British Yankees, a blues band with the mission to bring The British Invasion alive. The British Yankees have spent the last three decades touring the US and UK sharing the stage with the likes of James Montgomery, Pete Best. Levon Helm, and Dave Mason. In 2001 they released their album “Legendary Knights”, which went on to receive consistent airplay in the Greater Boston area for years.</image:caption>
