Here he played with various blues musicians including Big Daddy, Lotsa Poppa, and Mr. Jellybelly. In 1991 Vernon cofounded The British Yankees, a blues band with the mission to bring The British Invasion alive. The British Yankees have spent the last three decades touring the US and UK sharing the stage with the likes of James Montgomery, Pete Best. Levon Helm, and Dave Mason.
